PROTECTING OUR GREATEST ASSET, OUR PEOPLE

We recognise that our team are our greatest asset, and we value the experience and passion they bring to the table.

Our team has generations of experience in cattle farming, feeding, and processing in rural NSW, which is why we understand the critical importance of protecting our employees from harm. We prioritize leadership, capacity building, and the management of critical risks to Health and Safety. Through our collaborative and innovative approach, we strive for continual improvement and ensure that our HS&W policies are always up-to-date.

We aim to embed HS&W into the hearts and minds of not only our employees but also across our entire paddock-to-plate supply chain. We believe that it is essential for all stakeholders to be aware of the critical importance of HS&W, and we work hard to ensure that everyone in our supply chain is aligned with our HS&W policies.

We are committed to creating a safer and healthier workplace for our employees and making a positive impact on our entire community.

OUR Critical Risk Management Program

In support of our Global Risk Management Framework, Bindaree Food Group’s HS&W Critical Risk Management Program remains the foundation of our HS&W Strategy. This program enables a reliable channel of safety information between our sites and the Bindaree Food Group board.

With a focus on the prevention of serious injuries, illnesses, and fatalities, it enables us to achieve the following key objectives:

Mental Health & Wellbeing

The mental health of our people continues to be a focus. We prioritise company-wide communication and engagement to raise awareness of mental wellbeing, reduce stigma, and increase the capacity of our leaders to recognise and support team members who may be struggling with their own mental wellbeing.

To support the mental health and well-being of our team, Bindaree Food Group has partnered with a trusted employment assistance program provider.

Every team member has access to a range of resources offered by our Employment Assistance Program (EAP) partner, including free online and phone counselling services. We also continue to support global mental health campaigns, including World Mental Health Day, R U OK? Day and Movember.

We will continue to progress our efforts surrounding mental health by addressing any potential psychosocial hazards in our workplace via our HS&W Critical Risk Management Program.
